True Gold

Hi,

After having lost an auction on ebay for a 1996 Green Pearl Silo Spec *sniff*, I'm now looking at this True Gold Silo Spec with rosewood fretboard (no birdseye, but I'll survive ):

I was trying to find some info, but I do not see that many Balls with this colour around the innerwebz, and, besides this one, no Silo's with this particular color.

So, my question is: was this this color offered for a limited period, or in small numbers?

It was offered as a normal color for about a year.
