Hello! The relief of the neck was too much so I tried to tighten the truss rod, but the nut wouldn't move! I tried to loosen it a bit and then tighten it again, but it moved with much difficulty and still had too much relief. Does that mean that the truss rod got maxed out? I loosened the truss rod about 1/4 of a circle and removed the strings. What should I do now?

do you have the strings under tension? I usually remove all tension before tweaking the rod. If not you have to use the rod to both straighten the neck AND counteract the strings. Dan Erlewine uses another method, putting the guitar/bass into a neck jig, and moving the neck to how he wants it, and then basically using the truss rod nut to hold it in place. This puts a lot less stress on the nut and threads.

Either call EB support or take it to a pro to do it using a jig.

Had that problem in other basses, and the jig method does wonders!
