Help! Truss Rod Question

Hey guys, say if your neck is slightly back bowed and you wanted to get it back straight. Could someone quickly remind me of the order to do things in? If you turn the rod wheel to the right while the body is closest to you it will straighten the neck?

"I Would" Turn clockwise will raise the fretboard, counter clockwise will lower the fretboard.
