trying to find year of my mmbass

hey i just got this bass today and it sounds great. i got in nashiville in this music store downtown. i just wanted to get a date on it. i know it's pre 98 because of the battery pack cover and the six bolt neck. thanks guys.

Why would a six bolt neck indicate pre-98?

Edit: I guess you mean the design of the neck plate, having the old Musicman logo.

6 bolt neck introduced late 1988 early 89 but 4 bolts can be found up to 1992.

Plastic battery holder 1996.

Neck plate with new logo (along with serials relocated to plate) 1998.
