Well Thank You BP, that was kind of you too say. With owning over 200 or more of these over the years and Loving that MM Sound, Nothing sounds like a MM, NOTHING. As some of you know i also have Many 50 and 60's Fender basses.
But Im a Music Man Guy 1000%, They Sound incredible, bottom line, and thanks to The Ernie Ball Folks, My Fender Basses are going. For some of you who email me on a regular basis im Proud to also say. I Have Paid for every one of the 75 Music Man Basses I Own.
None was ever Given too me, So yes, Im not an endorsy. Just Know a Darn good Bass when I hear and Play them.
Now on the Question of the Knobs, lol
If this is a Question over what the original Volume,Treble and Bass Knobs are made from, Besides the early Radio Knobs which we're Plastic. Also Note on the very first stingray bass, I mean number one, the very first one Had Chrome Knobs,
Then Radio Came about a month or so later, then back to the Cast Chrome.
I remember Leo Fender telling me that at Namm 1980 or 81.
Well most of the 70's We're a Cast that's why they are so Light in Weight and the EB i beleive are too be Brass Chrome Plated that's why you'll feel the weight difference.
Leo was famous for Cast knobs as all the Tele, P Bass in the 60's we're all cast, The 50's til 1957 i beleive we're brass and chrome plated also.
