I have a Korg DT1 Pro Rackmount Tuner that I use in gig/practice situations, and a little cheapo Korg that I use to tune at home.

KORG DTR 2 Rackmount tuner in main rig

Korg Chromatic Handheld tuner for other situations

The rackmount DTR 2 is MUCH more sensitive than any handhelds or tuners in effect boxes. I will show perfect in tune on Cheapies and it will sometimes be a couple marks off one way or the other. Much more exacting.

A Yamaha YT-150. A cheap, litte plastic thing that really sucks. It gets the job done... sometimes.

I use the old fashioned keyboard player method

"Oi Justin!, give me a middle E please!"

The only thing I ever won in my entire life was a guitar tuner from a UK Bass magazine. It lasted two gigs before some thieving b**t**d nicked it from the stage when we were backstage!

I use the white Boss turner pedal, I thinks it's the TU-1 ?? It works great and acts as a mute as well which is good if you need to unplug and switch basses, no pops or knob twiddling.

The only problem with my rack mount Korg is that I can't keep the guitar players away from it.

And doesn't it seem like they come over just as you're starting to tune? Makes me nuts too!
