i put them on my Epiphone SG and my electric tuner won't give me the valid tune but it does for my other guitars and its tellin me on my 1E to go higher but im afraid it would break i had it up so tuned and my other strings would already tuned that far and if i have to tune it differently from a regular electric / acoustic strings then im screwed because i don't know how to do that i never taught myself to do any tuning since i always got a electric tuner so please help?

10's will feel "tighter" like they have more tension on them because they are thicker and DO have more tension on them.

Try setting your tuner to the note manually instead of letting it automatically pick up the note.

the 10 gauge string is probably binding in the nut slot. the slot was cut for 9s and the thicker string is getting stuck in the slot.

also, try using your neck pickup and roll the tone knob down so the tuner gets a cleaner signal with less overtones. some guitars just sound weird to a tuners input and the extra noises makes it hard for the tuner to register the actual note. So the tuner jumps around guessing at the note.
