I think one of the best things about owning a Music Man bass is the fact that I rarely have to tune it. I swear, I could leave it in the case for 6 months (not that I would ever), and be ready for a gig without any preparation. Just one of the many, many things I love about my bass.

I dropped my Stingray once and it was still perfectly in tune!!..... Quite often get it out of the case at practice after not playing it for a week and still perfect....Never had another bass like it:cool:

I find the change of weather/humidity where I live causes mine to go out of tune somewhat. I usually have to give the truss an adjustment Fall/Spring as well.

I find it goes out of tune quite regularly due to temperature changes, but once it has sat for a little bit in a constant temperature it stays in tune I play on average 4 shows a week and I do have to tune it every night, but they do hold their tuning very well compared to other basses.

I was trying out amps a couple days ago and played a couple different basses since they didn't have a SR in the shop. I was surprised at how tough to use some of the tuning keys were compared to the ones on my SR5. If the temperature isn't the same I have to tune mine every time but just the once.
