I acquired a second Trans Orange lefty SR5 today and could not be happier. It has the exact same features as my "holy Grail" 2005 model and is likely from about the same year. As a lefty, the chances of coming across a second bass identical to mine locally are so remote, that I just had to jump at the chance.

I also received a new White Pearl pick guard from EBMM today that had been on order. I had been toying with the idea of changing the Black Pearl original guard for quite some time. I popped her on along with some chrome knobs I had set aside and here they are!

My original has a one piece body with more grain showing in the finish. Its a more "orangy" color then the new one which seems to have more red in the finish. They both play and sound very similar to each other and the feel is identical. My original one (with the white guard) is a bit heavier. What a pair!

Thanks, I sure love the "transparent" finishes and am surprised that most of them were not as popular as one would imagine.

Thanks! I love this bass! For some reason it reminds me of Orange dreamcicle popsicles. I don't know why but white pickups just look right to me on Sr5 basses and i don't care for the looks of them on other brands.
