Hi fellow low-enders. I need some help. I was playing at a gig Saturday and the guitar player whacked the headstock of my SUB bass, chipping off a chuck of the flat-black paint. Any recommendations on what to use to cover-up this "gig scar?"

I say leave it. It gives it character and it's PUNK ROCK! Sharpies can sometimes have a reddish glow about them...

Yep.

In terms of resale, honest dents aren't a huge problem. Cover up jobs make you wonder what else is wrong with the bass that the seller isn't mentioning.

Thanks for Input

Thanks fellow low-enders for the input. The guitar player who whacked my SUB bass is blind in one eye. I'm always careful that I don't smash his face with my headstock since his peripheral vision is limited. However, I never thought about him avoiding whacking me with his guitar. I guess the lesson here is this: Always keep both of your eyes on a one-eyed guitar player. (Who, I may add, is an amazing musician.)
