Just an update; Producer wanted me to re-track 2 songs with a '71 Jazz and a fairly new Precision to compare with the original recordings (Bongo 5HH). Let's just say it was a waste of a couple of hours :)

For those keeping score at home:
Bongo: 1

I get what your saying, but it wasn't a waste. The producer will probably show more faith in your gear choices going forward and may even decide to incorporate a new "standard". As long as someone was educated, or had their mind opened, don't think of it as a waste of time. Glad to hear that your Bongo is doing well in the studio, I look forward to hearing the finished product.
