They could rig them to self destruct if removed. Like the messages in Mission Impossible.If I were EBMM, I wouldn't allow any user to put other pickups in an Axis/Sport/Super Sport guitar
Update - shop just texted me that this bad boy is ready. Will pick it up in a couple hours after work. Can NOT wait to play it! Should be epic!!! Also, since the Axis tribute didn't work out, I found a different #3 EBMM which should arrive tomorrow. Separate NGD thread for that

Truly a masterpiece. I can see why the Axis is such a favorite for so many. Add one to that list (me) Such a great score - probably the best deal I've ever gotten on a guitar. And I've had MANY. Basically, exactly what this guy said. Of course, I am somewhat biased and therefore my opinions should be considered suspect...
I noted that original listing photo didn't do the BCB finish justice, your latest photos are added proof. Hard pressed to be ashamed of owning and playing that one, for sure. Classy.
