I like the nice work that they did. So, I have to ask. What is the purpose of having a USB interface? Is it just to get the signal out digitally? I do use my effects pedal to go from guitar to pedal to laptop and then control the pedal from the laptop and play both MP3's and my guitar through the whole setup.

The 5V for the USB (by the way) could come in through a tip ring cord. Run a 5V power supply into a box with the trc in and normal 1/4" out. I built one like this (but 7.5V) for a thin acoustic/electric that I have with microprocessor generated effects in the guitar. (bought used so didn't have it).

yes, I'm a fan of projects....

don't understand the point, if it's just for recording any toneport type of interface can do the trick. No need to butcher your guitar for that

don't call me fan boy, but the game changer is by far more interesting as this is a quick way to change pickup wiring without soldering and your guitar still looks like a guitar not another PC interface :p

Sounds more organic

The USB mode is not organic at all, but thanks for sharing this :)

Its not gonna be called "game changer" is it?

I thought that was just an expression.
