Used Musicman Stingray Question

Alright guys, I'm considering getting a New Stingray used (Because I can not afford a new one right now, and I want something that I won't cry over abusing at gigs ) and the owner of the one I'm looking at has said he removed one of the shims from the neck. Should this be a problem?

It's not a problem. Shims can be removed or replaced easily enough.
