used sterling HS basses in stores

Hey guys,

I'm Christophe from Belgium/ europe

I've been playing a 1996 stingray that I got from forum member 58super for 6 years now and it has been my main bass!

I'm looking to extend my tones with a sterling 4 HS, preferably a used one. Since these are super rare in europe (Sterlings are rare, Sterlings HS are really hard to find) I'd like to know if you have any tips of places selling used sterling HS basses? stores or private guys!

Hi there. I'm fro. Belgium too. I bought my sterling 2nd hand about a year ago. And didnt see any other ones pop up since then. Music stores mostly only have standard stingrays... just went to key music in sint niklaas today. This is suposed to be the largest music store in belgium and they only had 2 standard stingrays. Thats why i bought my classic stingray via ebay, more choices and better prices even when you count the shipping. Taxes however are verry high so ask the seller to put a lower price on it...
if you do want to buy here. Order a new one via an official dealer or have a lot of patience...

this is the only one that's been online for almost a year now: Musicman Sterling USA + Musicman-koffer - Te koop | 2dehands.be

downsides are its only a single h, it has an after market thumb rest and it is priced pretty high (1200 with case) while i paid mine 900 (no case)

yeah, ive seen these guys advertise on ebay alot. they are most of the time much more expensive that the usa ones. but they often have special runs, verry new basses and you dont need to worry about taxes and shipement costs. so seems ok to take a look at these.

are these actually new instruments bacause i notice 90% of the basses on their site are same price as new. only this sterling and 1 or 2 stingrays seem exceptionally cheap if they are new and pretty expensive if used...
