I recently relocated, at my 1977 Music Man Stingray bass (which was allegedly "crated") survived the ordeal, but my case did not. It has numerous tears in the cover (5 or 6) that weren't there before. While the case wasn't in perfect shape, it was pretty close for a bass that I have had since 1979.

First, it is rectangular, and does not have any Music Man markings. Does anyone know if it could be a Music Man case (or if it is a generic case), and any idea what it is (was) worth? It is gold/yellow lined.

Thanks!

If no one here knows, customer service at EB may help. I'd give them a call tomorrow. You probably need info for claim for replacement.......

You could pay anywhere from 100-200 for a vintage MM case. They're basically the same as what Fender was using during the same period. For the rectangular tolex, I've seen them with usually red or orange, and sometimes blue lining. Correct, no logos on the outside of the tolex cases.
