Came across this video of "Feels So Good", loving the classic Stingray tone along with one incredible groove, thought I'd pass it along.

Too bad the camera man has an aversion to showing the bass :(

Thanks. Charles Meeks was my #1 influence in the 70's and the reason I bought my 1st MM which I still have ('79 Sabre). Great musicians all down the line. Grant Geissman who went on to have a nice solo career. James Bradley Jr on drums (there's a Jack Benny show where he plays drums on his show at 4 yrs old). Chris Vadala who I think is now dead and Chuck himself who went on to King of the Hill fame - ha! I saw those guys a couple times in the 70's and I always thought Mangione was stoned out of his gourd both times I saw them.

I was struck by how effortless that groove is. Mark of a great player.

Also, I am old enough to remember how this seemed to be a mandatory high school jazz band selection in the early '80s.

I wonder how many on this forum played this chart? I escaped it by playing guitar in the theater pit and not the stage band!

In my first year of college, I convinced the jazz band director to let us play the XIth Commandment. Fun bass solo there.
