Just doodling around with Joe Satriani's song If I Could Fly. Sorry for the sloppy playing and weird faces :eek: Anyway, I'm loving the tone I'm getting but I think I'm going to retube the amp soon. This guitar is just pure awesome, thanks Music Man!

Check out JJ tubes. I re-tubed my mark V and it sounds killer. They are really good for advice & guidance too. You can get a good idea of what tubes to get based on your target tone!

I'll def more look into them. I've sort of had my eye on tung sol but after reading a little more I'm not so sure their worth the extra $.

Nice!!! I've always like that song!!

Thanks! I love Satch's playing. Seems a little wrong to play on a JP but who cares hehe :D

Changed the tubes out. Sounds much better, more balanced eq, lower hum/noise, and huge but tight bottom end. Now i finally have a heavy rhythm tone thats just epic. I thought I might need to change the speakers to get the low end I wanted, but not anymore. I orrdered from Doug's tubes and very satisfied with the shipping time and pricing.
Tubes I put in are as follows...

Power tubes:
JJ 6l6 (matched)
Preamp tubes(12AX7):
Mullard CV4004 in V1 and V2
Tung Sol in V3, V4, and V5

Top Bottom
