 Hello guys.....I made another video while practicing today. It has a few cool chromatic runs, arpeggios...etc...However, after listening back to it....The tone reminded me a little bit of the Reflex on a cleaner tone.....Does anyone else think so? Am I just getting GAS for a White Reflex like Dean the Man plays?...Seriously, I hope you enjoy it.....and don't forget to COMMENT!!!:D

Jazz is a bit outside for me. I like the ideas that you were playing around with as it's always nice to throw in notes that surprise the ear. That's what my gripe with the pentatonic scale is (all the notes fit but none surprise).
It's cool to see someone connecting with their instrument so well. I get the impression that the Axis is like your set of broken in shoes or jeans. Do you have any full tunes coming?

Thanks acwild, I just started playing the Axis and the Super Sports in October....I never even new about these guitars until then,.....but I will say I am MUCH more comfortable with them than any of my other PRS and Gibson guitars I used to play!!! As far as recording, I am just starting to think about getting info on equiptment to set up as a recording platform at my house...I never thought I was capable in the past of recording anything worth while, even though I can write a little bit.....But I am beginning to think my skills are getting closer to where I need to be to listen back to my own playing without discontent...!! Thanks for your comments!!

I agree that the neck pickup almost has that in-between coils sound found in Al's and Reflex's. Very cool. I was playing my axis in a lesson yesterday teaching a kid "Wind Cries Mary". The axis did a very convincing job. What an amazing guitar. I'm so jealous of your hot pink top.

Ha I'm with Threeminutesboy "A Reflex is a Reflex". I always enjoy your videos and the smile on your face towards the end of this one shows that you enjoy playing so much. Too late now to get my old fingers moving like that but that only makes it more enjoyable watching yours. Thanks again.

Thanks Ben, yes that is the sound I am talking about....As the Axis is still new to me.....I am really amazed by its versatility....I could never get that sound out of my Gibsons or PRS's....I thought it was because I used an inexpensive amp....But that wasn't it...It is all in the pick-ups........Keep on Rocking....Don't be jealous....To every time there is a Season....Your Pinkie will come!!!

Thanks Gerry, I didn't mean to stir up you Reflex owners....I am wanting one myself!....However, I think there is a little bit of a single-coil ish..tone that reminded me of a sound on the Reflex...Thanks again for watching and sharing your kind thoughts!!!

T,

Are you using a Boss Fs-6 pedal with your Cube 80xl? Just curious, because I picked up a Cube 40xl for a little amp a couple of weeks back. They are cool amps, but to get the looping synched without a footswitch is a little tough.
