I have taken quite a shine to this kid. Not only do I believe he will make it all they way but he is a really great person and has a huge heart and just loves music and guitar!
He is a star and its just a matter of time for him. I have stayed in touch and am proud to say he is my friend and even more proud that he plays my guitar and is not just another "strat" blues player. My advise to him has always been "dare to be diferent" and dont folow what you THINK you should do but what you WANT to do and be yourself, haha fatherly **** like I do to my own son Trev.
Does my heart good to hear him make the LUKE sing in HIS own way! Says alot about the versatility of the guitar itself and the individual personality of the PLAYER making it sound like his own voice.
Very cool
In NYC chillin and playin the next few nights. Off to Little Italy for some pasta!!
Have a great weekend

I think it great that you and BP have taken an interest in him and are willing to help him along the way. Not many who would something like that. A lot of sharks out there. You guys will steer him clear of all the BS.

Yeah, he's great. I feel kind of humbled after watching him play, and he's only sixteen. That's absolutely incredible. And the best part I find is how down to earth and mature he is in his interview. Sounds like a great kid with his head on his shoulders. Maybe someday he'll have his own EBMM signature line.

Since I'm feeling like sharing tonight...

Tyler is an honorary member of my family. He's thoughtful, benevolent, and has a soul that belies his age. I love him dearly, and so does my wife. Those that know my Paula will understand that's quite an endorsement. His family is wonderful, too. Just last night, Tyler's mom cooked for Andy (drummer and my brother) and I before a gig; even though Tyler had left early to go "meet girls." That's just the kind of people they are. Tyler, his mother, father, and sister are diamonds in a sea of rocks.

Not only that, I get to PLAY with the kid! It's pure magic watching him play; and it's an honor to hold down the bottom end for him.

Just don't loan him money...

Thanks everyone. This forum is great. I am so blessed to have such wonderful people behind me. I can't thank Sterling, Luke, Ben and all the guys at EBMM enough...I will never forget sitting at the bar with Luke and having the talk about how I could be different from all of the other guys trying to do what I am trying to do. He also told me to get some velvet pants or something...the funny thing is, I already had some...haha...I like hippie stuff...that's not the point. All of you guys are great. Thanks for standing behind me. Hopefully I can make it to the shindig in Palm Springs. I just got a message from BenBen saying that I had no choice. sooo...The band is going to be preparing for Crossroads all week. Please keep us in your prayers.

I'm out like Paris Hilton...

but I will be back in.

HAHAHA

Thanks Ben. I don't know what I would do without you bro. Every band needs a Ben. For those of you who don't know, Ben is the designated organized person of the band. Also, he is a smokin bass player. Thanks for all the good gigs, practices, dinners, and free car washes. You are the man.

You gonna tell them about the drumstick? It's been done, but I loved it. I think there's potential there.
