I've only got 2 of his albums so far, Mind's Eye and The Maze. Of the two, The Maze is my favorite.

Vinnie just got a new red Silo according to Tommy....

I got all his albums I like them all i think they are solid works, but defying gravity is probaly my fave cause it wasnt just a speed album,it had soul which alot of shred albums are missing IMO.

I like then all. Out of Nowhere is the one that speaks to me the most. I even went so far as to transcribe all of "Move That Thang." Vinnie is awesome, and I can't wait for his next solo album. Van, Steve Morse's drummer is on it, and he is amazing as well.

Funny. I have the same two albums. I love his clean technique and the purity of his tone. Extremely fluid.

I love Vinnie! He's the man!!!!

2 fav albums are Out of Nowhere, and the best one- Meltdown. not really into Minds Eye or The Maze, too much neo-classical stuff on em. I like VM's melodic playing, he has super phrasing, very Jeff Beck-like on occasions, his straight ahead rock stuff is really great!!!!

Vinnie is also one of my all time favourite musicians. His feel and that amazingly clean technique is mind blowing sometimes. I like somethine about all his albums so far. I'm missing couple, but the ones I keep coming back to are The Maze and also Meltdown. I think that Meltdown is one of the BEST ALL TIME rock records out there, arguably.

Saw Vinnie playing with UFO a couple of weeks back...Great gig.He played his usual Purple Silo special for all of the set apart from the song baby blue where he played his red silo to replace the 70's strat he used to use for that song.

Love Vinnie and his music. He is one of my biggest inspirations - Mind's Eye is a masterpiece IMO. When it came out, I was 18 or 19 and used to play along with it - of course I could only get about 10% of the guitar parts right at that time ;)

Now I'd be luck to get 5% - I was a lot faster when I was younger.

Dude, that is EXACTLY where I'm at. He, along with Al DiMeola and Steve Morse, were my biggest influences and I could play their stuff...then. Now? Not even close.

If you want to check out something cool, buy an old copy of Vinnie's instructional Hot Licks videos. They're awesome! For albums, I think Time Oddessy was my favorite if I had to pick one.
