Hello everyone.

Let me start off by saying that I apologize if this is unwelcome or against forum rules. I just want to try and reach the largest EBMM/VH collector/fan base as possible. If it needs to be moved or moderated, so be it.

With that being said, I'm offering up for your consideration my number one prized posession. I'm STRICTLY doing this because I could use a little extra cash for an investment deal. I will sell this only for the right price, and it doesn't necessarily have to be sold at this time -- so I'm not looking to let it go for less than actual value. I'm taking offers ONLY right now and deciding to whom I will sell. ( Does that make sense? Heh ... )

This is an Ernie Ball/Music Man Eddie Van Halen model guitar in vintage gold. For those of you who know these guitars inside and out, you know what a rare guitar this is. I am not the original owner, but in the 5+ years that I've owned it I've never played it.

As far as the condition goes ... it was played by the previouis owner, but not excessively. The frets and fretboard have a moderate amount of wear, but nothing that takes away from the playability. I could have my "guitar guy" clean it up and I'm sure it would be hard to distinguish from new. There are a few tiny scratches on the surface from, presumably, picks. These are not deep at all, definitely not into the finish, and could be buffed out if wanted. The back is in pristine condition with no belt rash and just a couple hairline scratches which, again, could be buffed out if the new owner wanted. I don't see any nicks on the guitar at all. It's clean. The only flaw I can see is a darker mark in the color which is about 1 inch below the trem, is about 1/4 inch thick, and about 1 inch long. It's just a darker spot. I don't really know how or why it got there ... perhaps something was resting on it for an extended period of time ... up against a rack, a strap, etc. In my opinion, it's not distracting from the finish. The serial number is 83704.

I'll post a couple pics and if anyone here or anyone that you all may know are interested they may contact me via email for more information or more detailed pics at: [email protected]

Thank you for you time and again, I hope I'm not stepping on any toes here. I'm a huge fan of the EBMM/EVH/AXIS guitars and am sure that this will not be my last post here.

As rare as that thing is, the general musician population would have NO clue about how valuable that would be. A shame for sure. Good luck on your sale. Too rich for my blood.

The EVH gods say there were only 26 made in Solid Gold.

Yep. That's the number I've heard tossed around the most. I called EBMM a long time ago when I bought it and I'm pretty sure that's the number they gave me.

Didn't someone a while back post a video with Jerry Cantrell playing a Goldtop EVH?
