Those vintage knobs look great on that bass! I myself am trying to save to get a Tobacco Classic, and I WILL be putting those knobs on when I do. I think it breaks up the chrome and adds a touch of old-school class.
I have a black Strat inspired by Mr. Gilmour, and I put black Rooster knobs on it. Sure, I can't do volume swells anymore, but they look awesome. I've needed a volume pedal anyway. The stuff I have in my head won't work if I have to keep fiddling with a knob.
