I think I remembered reading somewhere that when you have a trem and piezo that the piezo limits you as to not be able to pull back on the trem??
It' been a very long time since I've tried a EBMM trem. So I don't even recall if it pulls back at all anyways.
If so, is it that big of a deal that you couldn't pull back on it slightly?

Right, drop only. If you float it, there won't be enough pressure on the piezo saddles for them to work properly. Sometimes I miss being able to warble the strings with the trme a bit, but not too much...

So, did you buy one yet? :)

not JP's. you have to divebomb REAL far for the piezo to fart out on JP's with piezo. they come stock piezo or no piezo with ALOT of pullup-ability.

The JP trem if the most incredible trem ever.
I wish it was available on the other guitars as well.

The problem is I've tried more economical guitars that could possibly hold me off, but the EBMMs really do spoil that option. It's like nothing else compares.
The closest I've found is a Godin Freeway Classic which is pretty nice. But I've read that the quality isn't really there.
I think I can wait a little longer!

I agree that nothing beats an EBMM, but for sheer "Bang For The Buck", the Godin's are really hard to match. A Freeway Classic costs about as much as a Squire, but gives you real tonewoods (just what the heck is "Nato" anyway?) and great pickups on a guitar made in North America... For the price, there's not much out there to touch it unless you come up with a $150 more for a SUB 1... Of course, the price difference might be less in the States - Godins are very, very cheap in Canada...

Agreed.
The Godin Freeways are about $450-500 (more if you want the synth) and the SUB 1s start at around $799.

I still want my Silo at 3 to 4 times the price though. ;) :p
