Hi forumites, Ive got a couple of questions I need help with...
I bought a vintage amplifier (univox 1011) as is... it is missing tubes, sockets, and i may have to change the caps and the fuse and ground the cable...
I want to know to what extent do the caps and sockets affect your tone and what are the best ones... I bought matched quad of svetlana 6l6s (power tubes) and I bought 3 pais of matched svetlana 12ax7s. I need caps and want to know what else I can do to get this baby sounding good...
I dont want to abuse my mesa 400+ every day... so I figured this was a good option for good sound and vintage gear...
BTW if anyone has a vintage MM hd 500 pm me i might be interested...
