Volume 6165 questions with using two amps /one guitar set up

I'm running one guitar thru two amps. I want a volume pedal at the end of my chain to use not only as a volume but mainly as a kill switch. The 6165 sounds interesting but not exactly sure if:
I run both my chains thru it will it act as a kill switch for both chains
Can I run both chains in it - not sure of how the swell /expression part works with that

Any helpful info /suggestion would be great
