My workhorse Sterling. Today, for the first time, I noticed that when I had the volume rolled completely off, I could still hear some sound faintly coming from the speaker. Has it always been like that and I just didn't notice, or is it symptomatic of something else? It's no big deal, just never heard it before. If it's just a matter of a new volume pot, I'd likely change it out.

My SR 5 does that through the TU 2 but not when plugged straight into the amp. The mute on the TU 2 kills it also.

My SR5 doesn't do that, but I've noticed this on another bass couple of years ago.
Could be a bad pot. Call customer service, they'll give you a proper answere:cool:

Good luck!

I think i can feel my sterling smiling a little bit when i leave the volume up all the way and turn the input on my amp down.
