My brand new JP 15 seems to be having some volume knob issues. Even with the volume all the way off it still produces sound. The only way for me to completely cut off sound is to switch it up to the acoustic pick up and turn that volume knob off. Ive never had a guitar with active pick ups like this. Is this normal? I'm a huge fan of rolling the volume knob to get different tones and levels when playing live and it's getting frustrating.

Contact EB Customer Support. Kris will get you sorted out.
I have the exact same issue with mine as well and the part is on the way for me to repair it.
This is a pretty precise soldering task to do as it is based on a ribbon contact on the main board.
If you are able to solder it then great, if not, make sure you take the part and the guitar to a competent tech or make arrangements with EB to ship your guitar to them for the repair if under warranty.

Has me kind of worried though as this may be a manufactured part issue. I noticed one at my store had some crackling as well. Have to keep an eye on that.

Thanks for the heads up. I just sent them an email. Appreciate your time.
