Volume Pedal help. I'm new here.

Looking to purchase a volume pedal that doesn't act like a volume knob on my guitar. As in when you turn the volume pedal down, the distortion level stays the same. Not like turning your volume knob downon your guitar. Is this possible? Thanks if you have time. JB

That's more about where you put the volume pedal, not what kind of volume pedal it is.

If your amp or pedal is producing the distortion, then the VP needs to be connected after the pedal, or in the effects loop of your amp to function like that. In that case, you'll want the VP with a 25k pot.
