Ok this simple I would like to know I can get the resistance of a Volume pedal ( VP JR) to control a wah unit or for a standard cry baby wah, I've ask a guy I respect his choice to not recall what he used for to lower the resistance but I really want to known how to do it.

So if somebody out here know please tell ether by PM or email or directly to this forum It can be helpful for other to who wold like to do it. Cause the guy told me that the Vp could chage the sound and get a wider sweep so its cool with me:

Here is the email he send me:

Re: Moding Cry Baby housing and place the components into a Ernie Ball VP Jr volume pedal

hi...basically you just put the dunlop guts into the ernie ball. you need to reverse the string/pulley system too or the sound will be backwards. you also need to lower the resistance on the ernie ball pot. I don't recall what I used...

BUT...it really doesn't sound/feel as nice as the dunlop pedals do. the eb is like all spread out and no tone/feel. the dunlop is much much smoother and liquidy.

You can do a lot of cool things if you want to mod your wah (do a google search, there are a few good project sites).

But really, if you want the feel of an EB pedal, why not just buy the EB Wah? It's excellent. Really excellent. (And there's one for sale in the FS threads.)

Thanks I do ready have the Wah but I do a lot of moving on stage and I got( well will have soon) a Rack wah Unit to have more than one controllers on stage two controller to be more precise so that is why I ask how to lower the resistance on the wolume pot. And I checked some of the wah mods and there to many thing to do ( I dig some of the "Q" mod and tru Bypass mod.)

There's nothing special about the pots in the volume pedal, so there's no reason you can't do it... but be careful with lead lengths from the Pot or you could end up with it being buzzy.
