People will always keep going for gibson, fender,... because they are so well known. And they are good. But once you go music man you never go back. Well thats what i think. But it will never (or not in the near future) be a top favourite guitar brand because it' just not well known enough.
For me musicman is by far number 1 and thats all that matters to me. A shame not more people see that.

Well I can say, as a relative noob to EBMMs that in general they are harder to acquire, because of price. If u look at a lot of those guitars in that list, they are sub -1k guitars. So a lot of those are more in the minds of voters because -- they can afford one. There are exceptions, like the ubiquitous Gibby. But others are there b/c of market presence, like Fender. Gee, a fender guitar is no more valuable than it was when it sold 20-30 yrs ago, talk about flat market value. And Yamaha, what is THAT doing on the list.

I'd say if a typical player has the coin to get on the EBMM carousel -- he never gets off.
