Hi guys, I'm going to buy a Radial Bigshot ABY and a VP Jr. The thing is I'll plug the guitar directly to de ABY so as to split my signal, and output A will go to my main amp. However, I want to have a volume pedal first (between output A and the amp). The question is, which one should I get, the 25k version or the 250? As I understand thing, the 25k works well with buffered signals while the 250 works best with non-buffered ones... The thing is I don't know whether the signal coming from output A of the Bigshot ABY is buffered or not.
Thanks a lot guys.

This is another option and can be used as an A/B Volume or stereo pedal. Good Luck!

500K Stereo/Pan Volume Pedal

The dual potentiometer has a 500k ohm resistance suitable for the audio path of passive or active instruments. Attached to the footplate is a switch that provides the user two operating modes (volume or pan). Use the A input / A output for the left channel and the B input / B output for the right channel for stereo signals. For use with stereo cable installations using TRS type stereo plugs, use the B input and B output. For use as a mono volume pedal, use the A input and A output. For use as a typical pan pedal, switch the toe tap switch to the pan position and use only the A input. The pedal will pan the signal between the A and B outputs. Overall Volume Pedal dimensions: 4" W x 11" L x 2 3/4" H.

A Nice pedal set up would be Guitar into Distortion/Fuzz/Overdrive. Then into a Tuner pedal/EQ pedal. Then Volume pedal. A/B out into modulated Stereo Pedals Such as Reverb pedal/Chorus pedal/Phaser pedal and Delay. With the Stereo volume pedal in the middle you can use your guitar volume to control the Fuzz/Distortion pedals in the front of the Stereo volume pedal. With a Guitar with a Peizo you have a few different options with the A/B in and out of the Volume pedal. The Kick switch can also be used as a Tremelo affect as well.

The thing is I'd like to be able to use both outputs at the same time, not pan between them, that's why I'll buy the Bigshot ABY... The thing is I don't know whether the signal coming out of output A is passive or active!
Thanks anyhow ScreaminFloyd.

The kick switch in one postition will Pan between both = Tremelo or up = amp (A) and down = amp (B) The Kick switch in other postition = Straight Volume for amp (A & B)

From Radial's site: "... the Radial BigShot ABY is an ultra compact, 100% passive ..." So passive it is.

Think of the volume pedal as another pot on your guitar, that's effectively what it is. So you'll want something on the order of the pots on your guitar - the 250k version. With the 25k, the load will be very noticeable and not what you'd want.

Another option is to put a buffered pedal in front of the Radial and use the 25k version.
