VP JR 25K volume pedal. where does the battery live?

just bought a VP JR 25K volume pedal and I don't see where the battery lives. Is it in the front of the pedal, inside? how do I use a power supply instead of a battery? sorry if these are simplistic questions

There's no battery! It's essentially a potentiometer (like your guitar's volume knob), but controlled by the throw of the pedal.
