wow just got myself a SLOstortion from Wampler and I must admit that this thing will take the place of my V-Twin on my preamp.

very good distortion pedal when used with my 25th. As creamy as the best cappuccino in Milan ;) I need to find a way to toggle between it and the Suhr Drive (don't want to press two buttons to switch between drive and disto) and the V-Twin will stay home for recording purpose :)

Do you guys use those Wampler pedals with your EBMM?

Yea I've had my Pinnacle for some time now and it's absolutely brilliant! It is really versatile and is probably kicking off my Suhr Riot as it can do that tone pretty good as well as many other tones. I will most likely get a Dr. Scientist The Elements for the really heavy tones...that one is supposed to be also insanely versatile.

I have my Wampler set up right now to get that Andy Timmons singing fat lead tone.

Need some pics of the pedalboard or it never happened!!!! :) I assume the Suhr pedal is a Shiba drive? Excellent pedal too!

Thanks Rob will check that !

Yea, you can always just use an A/B route to switch between the two. That's what I'd do anyways.

I was thinking of A/B but this mean 2 things
->Exclusive so I can not have drive and disto in serie (not sure I need that :) )
->Still have to switch the pedals on/off if I want clean sound

Yep Shiba drive I love them both, the pedalboard is still under construction but this is what Im using so far

Polytune, EB Volume JR, MXR Auto Wha, Shiba Drive, Wampler Slostortion, TC Nova System for the digital stuff

You could try what Eric Johnson does. He has 3 distinct tones he uses that are always on, and switches between them with 2 A/B Boxes.

1 A/B box is between Rhythm and Lead, the B line goes to another A/B box goes to a loop of pedals, one for distortion, and one for clean rhythm.

I've used this setup for a while, it works nicely!

Interesting thread.
Having just got a Musicman amp RP65 112, which has a solid state pre amp, I'm looking for a pedal that will give me a lead tone. I used my Pod XT at the gig last week and was suitably impressed - so I'm not in a big rush to get one.
Judging from JWFan99's post - I need to try an Wampler P Drive?

Totally agree on Wampler pedals. I recently bought a Wampler Sovereign Distortion and it's great! Not too far on the JCM800 side, but enough oomph to push my clean AC30. :)

Thanks Scooby, will try to think about it with 2 A/B box

I went and bought the wampler plextortion havent had a chance to try it yet. The guy kept lowering the price right before I left he sent an email and said if I came right now he would sell it for 110. So I grabbed it and will try it out later.

I have not tried the plextortion but definitely let me know how it sounds. It's supposed to be sort of similar to the Pinnacle, but tighter low end. People also say that it sounds a little more fuzzy? All i know is that I am very pleased with the Pinnacle. Has a great lead tone and very versatile. Looking into obtaining a Euphoria (formerly Ecstasy).

Thanks JWFan88 that was really useful - I hate buying things untested so will try and track one down here in the uK.
I tried a really old TOKAI ZII with it last night - which proved that this amp loves pedals out front!!
