I've got one of my JP7s for sale up on a couple various forums- somebody thought it was pretty enough to steal some of the pics and make their own craigslist ad with it. I got an email on harmony central this morning about one in Long Island.
Then on sevenstring.org two more people showed me the same ad in Raleigh, NC and Detroit. I've flagged all the ones I've found and reported them- if you find one and could do the same or at least notify me via this thread that'd be huge.
I've been e-mailing craigslist about it.
The ads look like this:
John Petrucci 7 String Guitar

They vary in price, and slightly in content (to avoid being considered spam) but they all use MY picture of MY guitar.
A bunch of people have tried e-mailing the guy to get more pics/e-mail address and got "Sorry, but the craigslist user address you recently mailed ([email protected]) does not seem to be valid. It could be you're trying to respond to a very old posting, or that the user has not requested anonymous email forwarding. Please check the address and try again." then the ad was removed. I tried e-mailing one of them and my gmail address got suspended. WTF?
