Did EB ever use "trans blue" for StingRay finishes? I was told my '91 was trans teal and I've always assumed it was but I've seen a lot of "trans teal" basses lately and they all have MUCH more green to them.

I'll attach a pic of my bass.

Derek...do you know what finish this would be considered?

Thx,

Jon

That looks like teal. I had an old Guitar Player Mag from the late 80s that had a picture of Melvin Davis with a trans blueburst 5 string, white pickguard and maple board... it looked really sweet!. Trans blueburst hasn't been offered for basses in quite some time as far as I know. It is still offered in the Steve Morse model guitar: http://www.ernieball.com/mmonline/color_chart/images/72full.jpg

Yes, there was a Trans Blue finish for Stingrays. It was disconinuted, like all amazing MM finishes, about a year go. That seems more Trans Teal.. And it has string mutes! I want, I want!

The First Bass is Trans Teal. Trans Blue was offered for a while but looked too much like teal,so it had to go.

Man, that translucent blue certainly looks great. Almost as pretty as my natural finish :D
I like it better than the translucent teal version, but hey - tastes differ, right?

You know what I always wonder, when browsing through the Ebay Musicman offers? More and more often there's people promoting their axes with women showing them off. At least that's what I think they're trying to do.
They'd better get some ugly lady promoting it, because I don't think any of the guys is actually looking at the bass.

That's good, because if all the male bass players are busy looking at girls, I have time to become BETTER !

hahahaha :D
