I traded near-mint 2009 EBMM Stingray4 for an old and smelly 2000 EBMM Stingray5. I actually got scammed because the previous owner sanded the body down from Trans Teal to Natural and refinished it with polyurethane. The case he gave me with the bass was also not a legit EBMM case - I think it's a cheap Chinese generic case and it SMELLS TERRIBLY. I don't ever use it.

Anyhow I finally got all the materials from eBay and the time to clean it..

What the hell, people? How can someone be this nasty?

Anyway now it's clean and I really like the fresh smell of the Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil and Wax. :)

Could be worse... :)
This is the pre-cleaning photo. I'm too lazy and tired to take new photos now.

Always check the serial number database before you buy or trade something. Did you? You've posted about that bass already but I can't recall the topic. The wood grain is pretty but seems a bit suspicous. Is that really an ash?

uggghh. yeah, some people are really nasty. I still haven't gotten around to cleaning off the grunge from by SR4's previous owners. One of these days, I'll get around to it.
