Good day to you guys

anyone tried this one?
WD TREMOLO STABILIZER

as you can see Im a musician with a very tight budget,
we do have some songs in Drop D as well as in standard tuning,

I use a JP50 an i installed a tremol-no on it so that I can do the Drop D tunings,
however, the tremol-no can only make the bridge into a dive only or a fixed bridge version, and I really wanted to make pull ups on the bridge and the tremol-no limits the bridge into a fixed or a dive only mode.

i dont have the budget to buy another guitar
heck i cant even carry 2 guitars on a gig.

so I came across this one,
anyone tried using these tremolo stabilizers?
these fit inside the tremolo springs

or does anyone have a better solution?

thanks,
rafael

I have a hipshot tremsetter but I have no idea if it would work on a floating bridge. I installed it to eliminate bridge flutter from heavy picking attack.

I dont think there is a solution to you're problem.

I am sure you can survive without pulling up on the bridge!

You should still be able to use it as a floater.

I think he already has that, he mentions it in his post.

Oh crap! My bad. I read the post wrong. Well the question now is why can't he use the bridge as a floater when the tremol-no is installed?

Rafael, did you get the right version of the tremol-no. Because there are different versions depending on what type of bridge you have. Check out the video I posted and check their website to make sure it was installed right.

So you want an alternative to the Tremol-no? If you're lowering string tension you're going to need to set the bridge in dive only or fully locked. Even with some resistance in there, I don't see how you'd change the tuning and be able to pull up the bar. Just part of the deal with floating trems.

my tremol-no works fine :)

what I meant was I want to switch my tuning to drop D without limiting the bridge into a "dive only".. so im trying to look for some alternatives.

I don't think there is a way to do that.
I don't think it is possible.

It has to have something in the rear to compensate for the lesser tension from the strings and the springs pulling the bridge into the body. You will have to block the trem off and forget about pulling up.

Pulling up on the trem bar has very limited usage anyway.
Its not worth going to all the effort and expense for something you are going to use once in a blue moon.

Even Steve Vai has to change guitars...
