Glad to hear they got out ok.

Here on our little green island we have to wear our seatbelts, its law and you will be stopped and fined with penalty on your licence if not. Best thing this government ever did.
Now if only they could completely clamp down on mobile (cell) phones being used by drivers....

Funny thing about cell phones and drivers...

This afternoon I'm out walking my dog, and I pass a lady talking on her cell phone while walking to a parking lot. She stops talking on the phone long enough to say "awww what a cute puppy" and then proceeds to get into her car, still yammering away. I hear the car start up, and then 4 seconds later I hear this horrendous CRUNCH! I look over and she had put her car into Drive and driven right into the tree in front of her parking space, and destroyed the front end of her car. She then put it into reverse and drove off like nothing had happened... yes, STILL ON THE CELL PHONE Just for laughs I went over and looked for debris - the entire driver's side headlight lens and some of the front valence were on the ground sunbathing.
