Ok now that i got my Axis im gonna give a barrage of questions! LOl

So my Axis that came is real pretty.

It just is heavier than i thought. Other Axis's i played were lighter. Mine is around 7 pounds 12-14 ounces. Isnt that a bit heavy for a Basswood guitar.

I was thinking that maybe it is due to the guitar being in a case for so long and maybe it absorbed some moisture. The frets were Green from being in there so long. I cant imaging though cause it has a poly finish on it. Hmmm?

Is that normal for them to be in that weight range?? Anyone from EBMM want to comment on this??

Wood density can vary slightly from guitar to guitar. Seasons, temperature, humidity, rainfall, all the factors that lead to a tree growing can have an effect on how dense or heavy the wood is.

The Floyd block is heavier than a vintage trem or hardtail, so its mass can add to the weight also.
