I had to weigh something for somebody so I grabbed the five basses I had out and subjected them to the postal scale.

20th Anniversary Stingray H - 10 pounds even.

30th Anniversary Stingray - 9 lbs 13 oz.

Blue Bomber Bongo 5 H - 9 lbs 11 oz.

SUB - 9 lbs 11 oz.

Flaming Biff Bongo 4 HH - 9 lbs 8 oz.

Pretty consistent.

Thats not too bad actually, mine run about the same if I remember correctly, with the exception of a boat anchor I had. They do a pretty good job weight wise. I see you are looking to lose about 9 lbs 13 oz though  Times tough ?

Mine are random. I used the shipping scale at work;
Dargie SR4 HH is 10.2
30th Ray is 9.8
LE Bluedawn SR4 is 8.3, it was a joy to get that one!
SR5 HH buttercream I recently sold was 10.8

Ha - I pulled out the scale just last week for the very same thing - remember I've got time these days! ;)

Sterling - 9lbs. 10oz.

Bongo HSp Buttercream - 9lbs. 1oz.

Bongo HSp Sapphire Black - 8lbs. 14oz.

Bongo HHp Candy Red - 8lbs. 12oz.

Digital scale (11 pound maximum), rounding to the nearest ounce.

Mine are VERY consistent, although I used a digital scale in kg that goes to just one decimal place, so these could be +/- 2lbs ....

All 4 of my MM basses were 4.4kg (9lb 11oz):

'76 Stingray
30th Anni Stingray
Bongo 4HH
Dargie Bongo 4HS

Lightest basses in the herd are my Thunderbird and '66 P, both weighing in at 8lb 6oz.

Also did some measurements:

30th Anniversary SR 4 fretted - 4.7 kg (10.4 lbs)
30th Anniversary SR 4 fretless - 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs)
100th NAMM SR 4 - 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs)
20th Anniversary SR 4 - 4.1 kg (9 lbs)
Dargie Delight SR 4 - 4.4 kg (9.7 lbs)

and then...

Black Sparkle SR4 - 3.9 kg (8.6 lbs)

btw, just as a side reference, both of my Lakland 55-94 are around 9 lbs and therefore lighter than most SR4's althought they are physically larger instruments. Seems they are made from rather light woods.

My StingRay5s weigh in at 9lbs 15oz and 8lbs 15oz.

A common complaint I've heard about EBMM basses (other than the Bongos) is that they can be very heavy. It seems as they are usually around 10lbs. Is that by design? Does EBMM screen the woods they use for weight or is it just what's available at the time?
