Hey all, several weeks ago I put a set of Cobalt bass strings on my Reflex bass and a set of Cobalt guitar strings on my Strat. The strings feel and sounds great, but I've noticed one strange issue. When the instruments sit in my room un-touched for a couple of days, the strings very quickly develop a sort of...muck, almost looks like rust, on them. I can usually just clean it off with some string cleaner but it's very odd. I thought it might be something weird about the room but other instruments in the same room without Cobalt strings haven't experienced this. Is it something about the material of the strings? Has anyone else experienced this with Cobalts? Thanks!
