That s super nice. And I love the old hardware and rollers!

Thank you. I love the wooden rollers that run along the edge of the track. There is also a wooden roller down low on the wall behind the door so it doesn't bump against the wall. The three rods on the hanger are to adjust the door. The wheel rolls along a rod within the hanger; it's not stationary on a shaft. It's some pretty cool engineering that I'm sure you'd appreciate.

Your house is older than Canada as a Country. The door looks awesome, and Tollywood is the perfect name. You got it all going on.

haha, thank you, Mario named Tollywood for me. I loved it right away.

This house is so old that it didn't originally have plumbing or a bathroom. Someday, I want to rent a metal detector and go over a depression where I suspect that the outhouse was. I may find a pocket watch or something cool. My dogs dig up stuff, like old bottles and even an old sterling (hey, biff) silver spoon from the 1870's. There is an axle with wheels from an old model T in the woods.

I bought this house from a very nice 94 year old lady who lived here her entire life. This was her parent's home when she was born. I couldn't afford the price that her children wanted, so she lowered it by $51,000 to my loan limit because she said that she chose my family to live here. She slept in the home until the day of the closing and I had to promise her that I would sleep here that very night. We slept here in sleeping bags with no furniture. I will never move.

Great set up Tollie, I am a big fan of older stuff and my house was built in 1847, things were made to last back then.

That door rocks and does Pinky.

Excellent Tollie :)

On a side note, Tollywood has a completely different meaning from where I come (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tollywood) :p

Congrats again all the way from India.

Cheers.

Thank you for sharing that with me. I had no idea that there was another Tollywood. That's really cool.

Thanks, Jamie. 1847...you need a metal detector, too. :D

Nice story with the seller.

Thank you. I was very lucky to meet such a nice lady. There were other bidders higher than me, which is why I was so honored that she chose us. It was a private sale with no real estate agent. Her daughter told me that I was too far below their minimum acceptable offer, but Helen asked me if I would not raise my offer because that was all that I could borrow. I said "yes", and she immediately accepted my offer in spite of her daughter's visible distress.
