I know I will enjoy them all :)

Vinnie's "Mind's Eye" is a winning combination of neo-classical shred mixed with monstrous jazz chops. It will expand your horizons.

id never heard anything by Vinnie till the Open House and HOLY JESUS - i really, really loved his playing. Great style, great player!!!!

I gotta follow Pete's lead here and hit up amazon

Yes, Big Poppa.. it seems that this whole community is off the beaten path.

That's fine by me, but I wish we could get those signature artists of yours the kind of sales that people with little-to-no talent reap after appearing on "American Idol". It's a mixed up world, indeed.

I have heard of Vinnie Moore and told Kbaim who did not, that he would smoke on guitar. Thanks Vinnie for not letting me down and for obtaining a new fan in kbaim. I have been working on The Maze since I heard it.....and, like I said, I'm working on it......might get it down in the next century or two. Awesome stuff!

Well the CDs all arrived today, time to crank the stereo. First up, Stressfest by Morse. It's already into track #2 and my fingers are getting itchy.

coincidence? Our guitars are hard to find in music shops and our artists cd's are invisible in record stores?

Well the EB instruments are right out front here at D.M.C. and Beller's, but I know what you mean :(

Hardly! I find no mystery there. I could site endless examples from personal as well as historical events of miss-guided passion.

In the end, what I see is that the masses flock to the status quo. The elite seek something beyond.

When was the last time you sought to meet the common standard?

Exceed the excessive. Seems a fairly noble mantra.

Although I heard of him, I hadn’t heard anything by him. But wow! What a subtle delivery of kick but R&R. I got Mind’s Eye coming. I was so astounded, I gotta hear more.

And to think, I was standing 5 feet from Vinnie in shipping and receiving and didn’t know what to say to him…

I had a pretty good band back in high school. We gigged in bars quite a bit. I used to be really big on flowing from one song into the next, so I'd arrange or write stuff to bridge different songs together.

One of our transitional pieces between songs was a segment from Vinnie Moore's "The Journey" off the "Mind's Eye" album. I love that song as much today as I did back then (I'm talking 1988 here). You can just pick up on the emotion behind the playing. Well done, VinMan.. err.. Lurker!

That whole album smokes. I remember being impressed with the jazzy odd-time stuff in "Hero Without Honor".

And I think the solo in "Daydream" is still just about my favorite guitar solo ever.

Hey Zon,
I have Mind's Eye but you need a record player 'cause it's on vinyl. I also have The Maze(CD). Every time I see Vinnie I am more amazed. That guy is Good. Next time he comes around we gotta go see him.
