Looks like I'll be moving my JPX very soon. This guitar was never just a guitar for me. John has been my mentor/ role model for many years. I asked for a JP every year for Christmas and my birthday ever since 2000. I was finally able to purchase one and am now having to give it up.

Gotta let go I some dreams to make room for new ones I suppose.

Being a home owner better be teh tits.

That's just too bad Devin. But hey, there is more to life than one model of guitar and playing a different model won't stop you loving his music and being inspired by his playing. You'll find what you need. Besides, there's how many other versions of the JP to choose from? And there's always the axis, or HH al, or Reflex, or Luke, or Silhouettes... :)

True. Very true. I picked up an ESP ltd ec-1000 only because its what Andy James plays on and it was only 400. Fantastic guitar for the price!

I miss that quality though.

Oh damn Devin, that does suck man. Like Dr Kev says, look on the bright side. Your a young dude and getting a house is a big deal. As far as I'm concerned, making personal sacrifices for you and your wife takes big balls, two in fact!

yeah dude, there are tons of guitars out there. If you can afford a house its much better in the long run. I am lucky my GF(wife on 6/10/12... help me!!!) got into our town home with out having to sell off all my guitars. Be prepared though... owning a home isn't cheap and sometimes its not fun at all. New Carpet, New Paint, Your responsible for EVERYTHING that breaks, dies, and just doesn't sit well with the "wife". Everything costs money and it seems that you need a permit to do anything (if you have a HOA). Your neighbors are also there "forever" so your can't give notice and move when the neighbors son is blasting his music at 3am. Though, it was awesome when he thought he was going to act tough in front of his friends and try and pick a fight with me... all I can say he should have remembered I was a martial arts instructor for a while... that didn't end well for him! But at the end of the day its yours and when someone wants to complain you can tell them politely to "go f**k themselves".

You will be ok man.

Well good luck to ya. I'm in my 50's now - when I started off as a home owner I was 24 & had just finished 2 years working on building sites - that was one of the best educations I had!! Taught me how to do so much around the house that at the end of the day saved me so much money. Electrics, plumbing, plastering etc

Get yer hands dirty and save loads of dollars.

well he backed out of the deal so I still have her! :) sucks though because it's kind of a tease. I don't want to play on it because I'm trying to sell it. But, I want to play it all the time!

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by it. I'm not sure what it is. Probably the EMG's being active pickups. Cleans up a lot of noise from my noob hands.

Not gonna lie, I'm very excited looking at homes. I might be able to keep the JPX AND get a home! Woohoo!

You know, down the road, you can own one again. You have priorities and that is a notable characteristic. Being a home owner is a great thing bro. You will be fine. Just keep playing my friend and you have a means to do that. When you are ready to get another axe......you will knowing you did the right thing. Chin up bro! You better stay around too!
