Nope, i cant see the attraction either, seems lots of companies are using it now too, maybe cause of the supplies of flamed and quilted maple etc dwindling?

I think spalted maple looks cool, but I read something about how it has to be prepared for use in guitars a while ago, and it made me skeptical enough to never consider getting a guitar made from it.

Some woods just aren't pretty to me and that's one of them. That being said, it's cool that he's putting together a guitar. Good for him.
