Guys, I just began babysitting Keith's Morse guitar, it's killer. I'd grab this one
they are great guitars. I never really played one before, I was pleasantly surprised! ;)

wow you are letting it go cheap. i'd buy it but i just blew my load on a new EVH.

When I sell stuff on eBay I always start it out reasonable--I figure they eventually settle to a fair market value.

Modded for your enhanced picking pleasure!

DoubleR, you sure you shouldn't keep it as a backup??

How do you think I'm paying for my Sihouette? :D

Actually, I have a Strat and a LP as my backups (although since I've gotten used to MM necks, they mostly spend time sleeping in their cases).

How is it modded?

Here you go:

"If you're looking at this, you know what these guitars are all about, so I won't bore you with the "cut 'n paste" specifications thing.

In terms of sounds and playability , this is the best guitar I've ever owned. I play in a cover band, and there isn't a tone I can't get from this guitar. The neck is so smooth it's spoiled me to playing my Strat and Les Paul (they mostly stay in their cases these days).

I bought the Morse last year and I took it to one of the best guitar shops in Southern California (www.worldofstrings.net) for some modifications. First, I had them replace the oddball string set that Steve Morse uses with standard 10's. Then, I found that the upper toggle switch would interfere with my picking and strumming, so I had them relocate it next to the lower toggle, which I find more user-friendly. They cut a new pickguard for this mod, and they did such a good job it looks like it came that way from the EBMM factory.

In terms of condition, you see guitars described on eBay as "mint;" this one truly is. There's not a nick, scrape or scratch on it save for a small ding on the headstock near the tuner for the G string. (It's so tiny I had a hard time getting it to show in the photo.)

So it this is such a killer guitar, why am I selling it? I'm torn about letting it go, but the reality is that for me, it's not the most comfortable guitar to wear. It's heavy, and the body is not contoured. I'll be 49 years old in a few months, and I had knee surgery last April, and standing for long periods of time gets tough. I have a lighter EBMM guitar on order (the Silhouette Special) which should be here next month, so it's time to let the Morse go to someone younger and stronger :)

It comes with the MusicMan hardshell case, of course. I even have the hang tag and the polishing cloth that came with it."
