hey... finally got around to getting some graphite lubricant on the nut of my petrucci ( had pinging problems when using trem) bought some GHS GraphitAll Guitar lube and it worked great!!! no pinging !!! ahahah im kinda ecstatic and giddy now hahah lol. It was 4.50 plus tax. after buying it i was like... "you know.. i could have ground up a bunch of pencil lead really fine and mixed it with some 3 in 1 oil and made this stuff myself." oh well...

while it doesnt come with an "applicator" like the nut sauce brand... i found that using a mechanical pencil covered with the graphitall was just as effective and definetly way way way way way cheaper than the nut sauce. anways... we'll see how this goes but i think that my tuning problems with my petrucci are solved.

God bless,

Tony

I'm glad these issues appear to be sorting themselves out there pup...

Sometimes theres rough edges in the nut that didn't get totally filed out. I always find stretching the strings and some vigorous whammy action help the guitar settle in a bit too. PLus with the shifting temps in the NE, it's no wonder you had some problems. I may build an Isobaric champer for my Pets.
