Out of the entire stable of basses, there has arisen an "Alpha Male". That Alpha Male is the Blue Pearl Sterling H with all the freakin' figuring and bird's eye in the maple neck/board. And he's the lightest little banty rooster out there! Just a tad over 8lbs.

This one has rapidly knocked aside the G&L's (3 of 'em), the Lakie Hollowbody, and the '74 Fender P bass. It has become the go-to bass, and the tone is getting constant compliments at gigs. I have to really watch the keyboardist (he also plays bass) because he keeps siding up to it with theft on his fevered mind. Theweight is a pure treat, and the neck is SO cool.... visually and tactilely. I am so happy I couldn't find a buyer for this one. I'd have kicked myself stupid if I'd have let this one go.

Of the 3 I've owned this is clearly head and shoulders above the rest! Thanks SquidLizard!

I would highly reccomend it. Especially since you are so fond of the SR5; you get "the switch" on the Sterling ;)

You got that one from Lisa?

I was unaware that she had a Sterling! She can be so sneaky.

Yep; it's been here a couple of months... I actually entertained selling it off and posted it a couple of places but no actual takers- even after several reductions (I'm so glad that the market was slow! ;) )

I had a Sterling HS come in from Brad and was going to keep that one, but the Blue Pearl kept calling my name so I swapped the HS here for a Stingray 5 from Aaragorn. The HS was a super nice bass as well, but the Blue Pearl has the ultra-cool neck and the extra light weight going for it :D

I was all over that Sterling if I hadn't just made a spontaneous decision to order a Dargie Delight!

If you lose your sanity again...

That neck is sweeeeet. I've had the same experience with my Sterlings and I own a Sadowsky v4. Amazing I waited all these to try one....would've saved myself some $$$$ over the years but I would've just spent it on more Sterlings....like I am now....:D
