Hi guys,
I arrived at home about two hours ago and I'm still completely impressed by this entire weekend. I'll keep it short for now because I want to go to bed early, but here's a few things I would like to say:
1) thank you Sterling, or BP, whatever you like best, you did a more than wonderful job and I'm more than grateful that you organized this whole event. You are a one-of-a-kind guy and you deserve a gazillion credits for everything you arrenged for us, the Knuckleheads.
2) to the EBMM crew, and that includes all of you guys out there in SLO: you are a magnificent bunch. I was awestruck by the massive amount of time you people put into the details and that really is what makes EBMM THE best guitars in the bizz. I just felt like part of the family for the entire weekend and that really means something to me
3) Beth, thank you once more for taking us home on Saturday in the wee hours. You rock...
4) Kbaim, Koogie, Pete, Dave, Beej, Thindave, GWDavis, Fsmith, Ernie, Phattduck and all the other forumites I'm forgetting right now: you really impressed me with your personalities and playing abilities. It makes me wish the USA were my neck of the woods, I really enjoyed hanging out with you and you are all wonderful guys. I'm glad we have this forum to keep talking to each other and keep each other posted.
5) I had a blast and I would shout it from the top of the roof if necessary. BP is my man and the things you did for me/us will forever be etched in my heart.
6) Dudley, Jon, and all the factory workers out there: you know how to create magnificent instruments and I hope you will keep on doing this for a very long, long time
7) I already mentioned this to BP on Saturday but I will repeat it again: Sterling, if you ever come over to Belgium for one thing or another, let me know. I will be glad to show you around and have you stay at my place. The same goes for all of you guys. If you come over for one thing or another, let me know, we'll arrange something. I can't even imagine anybody else willing to do such a thing for a bunch of customers that you only know from talking to on an internet forum. You showed a lot of respect for us Sterling and you made clear that you trust us in showing your factory and giving us the opportunity to try out all the different models you make. I only hope that we payed you back in respect, during the open house as well as on this forum...
8) A big thank you also to the signature artists. Besides the fact the you are all top notch in your playing ability, you clearly showed that your love for Music Man goes deeper than just the endorsement. You are definitely the best.
I could ramble on here for hours, but I will not.
Yet again, thank you all. It was worth every minute of it.
PS: BP, if it's OK with you, I would like to PM you one of these days to speak about some EBMM topics for Europe, that is, if you have time to listen to my thoughts. Just let me know...
EBMM is the one thing that binds us all, the passion we all share, and all this comes forth from a factory in SLO run by a fantasitic person who's working with a fantastic crew. I got to get saving for my next MM...
Thank you,
cheers, Tom.
